Talent Solutions

Try the working relationship before committing to it

Contract-to-hire arrangements with a defined conversion point, so both sides evaluate on evidence rather than on interview performance.

Talent Solutions

Temporary to Permanent

Interviews are a weak predictor of how someone will work. A defined trial period gives both sides real evidence — and gives the candidate the same right to conclude the role is not what they wanted.

We structure these transparently: conversion terms, timing and fees agreed before the assignment starts, with no surprises at conversion.

What we do

Scope of the service

Contract-to-hire placement

Placement on contract with an agreed conversion point, typically three to six months.

Transparent conversion terms

Fee structure and timing set out in advance, with fees reducing over the contract period.

Employment during trial

Workiy employs the individual through the contract period, handling payroll and compliance.

Structured evaluation

Agreed checkpoints and criteria so the conversion decision is evidence-based.

Candidate support

Regular contact with the contractor so problems surface early from both sides.

Conversion handling

Employment transfer, offer support and a clean handover of records.

Use cases

Where this is used

Representative engagements, described at the level our clients permit. Sector and shape are accurate; identifying detail is withheld.

Public sector

Hiring for a new discipline

The organisation was creating its first data engineering role and was uncertain about the profile. A contract-to-hire arrangement let both sides test it.

Outcome — A permanent hire made with several months of evidence behind the decision.

Healthcare

Hiring against a slow approval cycle

Permanent headcount approval takes months. Contract-to-hire started the work immediately and converted when approval came through.

Outcome — Work started without waiting for the approval cycle to complete.

Enterprise

A role that had failed twice

Two permanent hires had not worked out. A trial period surfaced the mismatch the interview process kept missing.

Outcome — The pattern broken by testing the actual work rather than the interview.

Questions we are asked

Before you get in touch

What is a typical trial length?

Three to six months. Shorter rarely gives enough evidence; longer starts to feel like an indefinite contract to the candidate.

What if we want to convert early?

Fine. The fee schedule accounts for early conversion and is agreed up front.

Do candidates accept these arrangements?

Many do, particularly for a genuinely interesting role. Some will only consider permanent, and we tell you which is which.
