Workiy started in 2008 delivering enterprise applications, digital platforms and technology staffing to Canadian organisations, and grew into a firm with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, Chennai and Doha. Along the way we implemented PeopleSoft estates for universities, rebuilt public health websites on Drupal, migrated retailers to Shopify Plus, and placed consultants with organisations from Cognizant to municipal government.
That history is why we approach AI the way we do. Having spent years inside the systems where institutional data lives, we know that the model is the easy part. The work is in reaching the data safely, governing what is done with it, integrating with the processes people actually run, and being accountable for the system after it goes live.
Today AI leads our practice. Data engineering, managed services, enterprise applications and talent solutions continue as practices in their own right — and as the foundation that lets our AI work reach production.
What we believe
AI should be explainable to the person it affects. Data governance is an engineering problem before it is a policy problem. A system nobody is accountable for after launch is not finished. And the cheapest option for the client — including not building — is the one we should name.
