The common challenges faced by the IOS & the Android version respectively follows,

IOS

• The head team had developed a code in the test environment and without any testing or staging, the code was duplicated to the product environment. This affected the development and running of then application as there was very less clarity on what to expect from this app
• The next primary issue with the IOS is, when a user opens a new account, you cannot add a phone number (contact information) and two-factor authentication cannot be done.  

Android

• Here, building the code and running it, was itself a major issue. Since everything was started from scratch, understanding the android version and running codes based on this came with a lot of technical issues, because of missing code documents.
• User Image Compression 

On the profile page of the android version, there was no option to add phone number.

• This issue was rectified by revoking the code, in the old environment and used it for staging. With this, the cycle of development was rectified.
• But the head team of the application instructed to have the rectification of this issue on hold, so there is not definitive solution that has been jotted at the moment.

• Android

• This issue was rectified once the head team provided those missing code documents.
• In IOS version, when a user profile image of 4 mb is uploaded, it automatically compresses to 1 mb in the backend. This feature wasn’t available on the android version until now. The size compression plays a vital role too as it crashes at then backend if not compressed without requiring users to download a new version.

The solutions rectified has only benefitted the customers solving the bridge between the IOS and Android feature availability. This has paved way for a set of new features, accessible for their customers exclusively.

• I Welcome email is the only feature proposed for the Android version. While all of these features are still in development, these seem to be a good prospect for this health parameter app.

• So far, one main advantage with IOS version is that, apple has an inbuilt health app and therefore requires no syncing with of sorts and will automatically update the records. Apple runs on VO2 max, a parameter exclusive to IOS. Making it free of any third-party applications to mediate for the health tracking.
• With android version, it entirely relies on the third party applications, for instance Google fit.
• And for this, it requires authorization and requires to manually records logistics.

An example, a fit watch connected with an android version of the application, will require the user to manually update on google fit, for it to sync with the actual application
