Migrations that reduce cost instead of relocating it

Cloud assessment, migration and modernisation — with the architectural work that makes cloud economics actually work in your favour.

Enterprise Applications

Cloud Modernisation

Lifting a workload into cloud unchanged usually costs more than leaving it where it was. The savings come from what you do afterwards: rightsizing, elasticity, managed services and retiring what nobody needed.

We assess honestly, migrate what should move, and modernise the workloads where the return justifies it — while being clear about the ones that should stay put.

What we do

Scope of the service

Cloud assessment and strategy

Workload-by-workload analysis of migration approach, cost and constraints, including residency and licensing.

Migration execution

Rehost, replatform and refactor migrations with testing, cutover planning and rollback.

Cloud-native development

Containerisation, serverless and managed services where they reduce cost or operational burden.

Landing zone design

Account structure, identity, network, policy and guardrails so growth stays governed.

Cost optimisation

Post-migration rightsizing, commitment planning and continuous review.

Data residency architecture

In-region deployment patterns for organisations under residency obligations.

Use cases

Where this is used

Representative engagements, described at the level our clients permit. Sector and shape are accurate; identifying detail is withheld.

Public sector

Migrating within residency constraints

Data could not leave the country. We designed a migration using in-region services with an explicit data-flow map for the privacy office.

Outcome — Cloud capability adopted without moving regulated data out of region.

Healthcare

Modernising after a lift-and-shift

An earlier migration had raised costs without benefit. We modernised the highest-cost workloads onto managed services and retired idle environments.

Outcome — Run cost reduced below the pre-migration baseline.

Higher education

Preparing infrastructure for AI workloads

Existing infrastructure could not support GPU workloads or elastic scale. We built a landing zone with governed access to accelerated compute.

Outcome — AI work unblocked without loosening infrastructure governance.

Questions we are asked

Before you get in touch

Should everything move to cloud?

No. Stable, predictable workloads on owned hardware are often cheaper where they are. Our assessments regularly recommend leaving some workloads in place.

Which cloud?

Usually the one you already have skills and agreements for. Where there is a genuine choice we assess against your workload mix and residency needs.

How do you handle licensing?

It is assessed up front. Licensing terms change materially in cloud and it is a common source of unbudgeted cost.
